Stockholm view with fire on the sky

September 22, 2019 by Ralf Lukovic Leave a Comment

Stockholm presented view with fire on the sky… Perfect weather with no wind and good company of my dear friend.

I packed my drone and went from my home. The whole day was clouds free and pleasant. I hoped for good and colourful ending as well. My friend from Germany was here in Stockholm with his family on the short visit. We decided to meet on the Skeppsholmen close the boat of Af Chapman.

I arrived little bit earlier and prepared my drone for a first flight. Just before take off my friend arrived. It was a first time for him to se my little flying pal. After a little chat and answered a few question I prepared my drone for take off.

Stockholm sky became better than expected

During my travel and my friends arrival some beautiful clouds appeared on the sky. Those clouds created perfect opportunity for rich and colourful sunset. Now we just hoped that sun would ignite them.

The first battery was more the sky exploration with few shots. Soon after the clouds started to turn orange and we where exited. Just 15 minutes later almost all clouds get yellowish orange and I was ending my second battery. considering that it wasn’t so windy (5 m/s) I wanted really wide panorama from at last 100 meters.

Sky fire everywhere you look

I landed and changed to my third battery. Most of clouds changed from orange to reddish and dark magenta and it was pure magic. I finally get Stockholm view with fire on the sky! I successfully created two super wide panoramas and all clouds formations as you can see down below.

On the third photo you can se the old Skeppsholmen Church which is now more known as Eric Ericsonhallen. The sky above was mix of pink and blue tones and I made a few shots from that side as well.

After the Stockholm view with fire we both went for beer and pizza…
