Today I decided to visit Stockholm City Hall during the sunset. Sunny evening and light wind created perfect condition for flying.
Many tourists where already around the Stockholm City Hall with expectation of colourful sunset. Even huge group of people with canoes arrived and took a rest on the side, as you can see on my phots below. I was standing there too but decided to move on opposite side.
My new place was close to the boats on the right side as shown on the second photo. I prefer to stand alone and and not to be disturbed by curious people. It was definitely easier to have eye contact with my drone all the time from there.
Few days before I was around in the area and photographed beautiful and unusual sunset during the rain. Today was totally opposite weather conditions.
Stockholm City Hall with the sun behind – huge success
Standing to close to the boats and jetties created some magnetic disturbings to my drone. I had to move little bit more behind and recalibrate drone compass. Finally when my drone was in the air the scenery was extraordinary. I had a time to fly around and compose photos exactly as I wanted.
Without any rush all my batteries went to the air. I made plenty of beautiful panoramas and a few video clip as well. Beside the frontal photos from Stockholm City Hall I made a few photos in other directions. As you can see below it shows beautiful pink clouds which usually appears on the opposite side where sun goes down.
The sunset was nice and colorful and I flow two batteries that evening. I even made a few video clip as well which I will post somewhere here on my site in the coming future.
